About This Spot

Stepping into Stou Paschalia feels like entering a thoughtfully unpretentious corner of Ikaria, where time slows gently and the everyday rhythm is punctuated by warm laughter and the clink of glasses. Nestled in the quiet stretch of Kampos, this restaurant embodies the essence of a relaxed neighborhood spot — familiar, inviting, and refreshingly genuine. As evening falls, the modest terrace hums softly with the easy camaraderie of locals unwinding, their voices weaving a rich backdrop to the scents drifting from the kitchen.

The atmosphere here is quietly vibrant, anchored by a sense of homecoming. The space reflects an authentic local spirit without fanfare — the kind you discover only when you take a chance beyond the obvious. Conversations linger over plates of thoughtfully prepared food, where every ingredient tells a story of the land, the seasons, and heartfelt tradition. It’s not just a meal but a shared moment, where freshness and care stand at the center.

Here, the menu unfolds naturally through the day, shaped by what is ripe and ready, echoing the island’s generous bounty. Dishes arrive as comforting companions — rich and layered with familiar tastes that carry a hint of surprise. Whether it’s a subtle twist on tender goat, the comforting embrace of tomato pasta, or a crisp salad dotted with local cheeses, each bite invites you to slow down and savor the simplicity of genuine flavors. Beyond the food, handcrafted lemonades and local brews add a crisp, refreshing balance to the experience.

What makes Stou Paschalia special isn’t only the thoughtful cooking but the gentle hospitality that permeates the space. The owners and staff move with an easy kindness, sharing not just dishes but stories and smiles, helping visitors feel both welcomed and connected. There’s a quiet pride in offering a place where locals come together as much as visitors find a true taste of island life.

For those seeking a place to linger long after the plates are cleared, the late hours draw a softer kind of lively — gentle chatter over coffee, the comfort of familiar faces, and a shared love for this tucked-away refuge. It’s a corner of Ikaria where the everyday becomes quietly memorable, a pause filled with warmth and simple joys.

Agree, don’t miss this hidden gem of a place, don’t be put off by the look. The food these very friendly people put out is like serious home cooking. Everything is fresh, locally sourced, in house made cheese and the menu changes every few days. Late around 9:00pm it becomes one of the hot spots for the locals to hang out, drinking coffee, chatting.

Really great! At here almost every night I stayed here. Small town feel, great atmosphere, friendly staff. The owner speaks English and explained every dish to me, so kind.

Simple but delicious food. Best “soufiko” (local ratatouille) on the island! Try the lamb in lemony sauce and the carrot salad (not as simple as it sounds and very tasty). Also, do not miss their delicious homemade lemonade!! The terrace is lovely. Only negative point: be sure to bring mosquito and wasp repellent!

I've been to many places on Ikaria, yet this one simply remains the best. The atmosphere is extremely homely and the staff are always friendly and hospitable. Everything on the menu tastes amazing, but my go-to recommendations are the Melitzanato (eggplant + tomato + cheese) and the pork skewers, don't miss them! Děkuji ti za všechno!

A very pleasant surprise. The best food we had by far in Ikaria. Very laid back atmosphere and good portions. We are definitely going back before our holiday is over.

The staff was super friendly. The food was a good price and really good. Atmosphere was really great. Flowering vines overhead with views of the mountains.

Family taverna, delicious and abundant food, original traditional dishes and tastes, kind and relaxed atmosphere with country view underneath a buganvillee patio and sweet cats all around of course

Bästa maten på Ikaria!!! Missa inte. Best food in Ikaria!! Don’t miss this gem! Zackarias grow his own vegetables, makes his own goat cheese, and has his own goats, rabbits etc. Genuine, traditional and authentic food, varied menu, that always give us positive surprise. Cosy environment. You eat under the shadow under the threes with an overview of the ocean in the horizon.
